HAWAII’S UNEMPLOYMENT RATE AT 2.2 PERCENT IN SEPTEMBER
Jobs Increase 11,600 Over the Year
HONOLULU — The Hawaii State Department of Labor & Industrial Relations (DLIR) today announced that the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for September was 2.2 percent compared to 2.1 percent in June through August. Statewide, 671,750 were employed and 15,050 unemployed in September for a total seasonally adjusted labor force of 686,800. Nationally, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 3.7 percent in September, compared to 3.9 percent in August.
