HAWAII’S UNEMPLOYMENT RATE AT
2.8 PERCENT IN JUNE
Jobs Increase by 1,200 Over-the-Year
HONOLULU — The Hawaii State Department of Labor & Industrial Relations (DLIR) today announced that the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for June was 2.8 percent, the same for the fourth consecutive month. Statewide, 645,550 were employed and 18,650 unemployed in June for a total seasonally adjusted labor force of 665,200. Nationally, the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 3.7 percent in June, compared to 3.6 percent in May.
