Hawaiʻi Civil Rights Commission offers 2019 public training
Civil Rights at Work: Worker Rights & Employer Best Practices
On Wednesday, November 20, 2019, the Hawaiʻi Civil Rights Commission (HCRC), in collaboration with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), will present a public training on state and federal laws that prohibit discrimination in the workplace.
Reaching out to an audience of workers, businesses, human resources professionals, civil rights compliance officers, and community civil rights, the program will address the question: “Why Care About Civil Rights and Elimination of Discrimination in the Workplace?” The program will also cover fair employment basics, mediation of discrimination cases, sexual harassment in the #Me Too era, and how to build a respectful workplace.
