Notice of Elevator and Related Systems Fee Schedule Updates

The Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, Hawaii Occupational Safety and Health Division, Boiler and Elevator Branch has adopted amendments to Hawaii Administrative Rules, Title 12, Subtitle 8, Part 11, Chapter 229, “General, Administrative, and Legal Provisions,” relating to elevators and related systems.

The amendments include updates to the applicable fee schedules for elevator and kindred equipment installation, alteration, inspection, and related services. The rule amendments were approved by the Governor on June 4, 2026, and become effective on June 14, 2026. The updated fees will be enforced beginning July 1, 2026.

Affected owners, contractors, property managers, elevator service companies, and other stakeholders are encouraged to review the updated requirements and fee schedules.
