State Information Data Exchange System (SIDES)
What is SIDES?
SIDES stands for State Information Data Exchange System (SIDES). SIDES is a secure website developed by the National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) in partnership with the US Department of Labor to empower workforce development.
SIDES is an electronic platform that allows states to request and receive information from employers, Third Party Administrators (TPAs), and Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs) on claimant separations, earnings verification, additional fact-finding, and issue decisions and determinations through a standardized electronic format.
SIDES has six components, called exchanges, that makeup the full SIDES solution. Each exchange supports a specific step in the life cycle of an unemployment insurance claim.
