WIA-Youth Program
The WIA Youth Program focuses primarily on providing education, training, and employment opportunities for youth between the ages of 14-21. Some of the services provided to Youth Program participants include: tutoring, occupational training, basic skills preparation, internships, job shadowing, and other services.
Eligibility
Youth Program participants must be between the ages of 14-21 AND must fall within one of the following categories:
- Deficient in basic literacy skills
- School dropout
- Homeless
- Pregnant or a parent
- Offender
- Runaway
- Foster child
- Males over 18 must also meet the additional requirement of registration for Military Selective Service.
