COVID-19: Labor FAQs
On August 8, 2020, President Trump signed a Presidential Memorandum authorizing the “Assistance Program for Lost Wages” which provides for an additional benefit of a $400 payment per week, to eligible claimants from the week of unemployment ending August 1, 2020. The department is awaiting federal guidance from the U.S. Department of Labor on how to administer the program. The $400 additional benefit amount will be retroactively added to eligible weeks of unemployment once program modifications are completed.
